POSITION SUMMARY
Libertana Home Health’s Human Resources Generalist will be an integral piece to a rapidly growing HR department. As the Human Resources Generalist, you will be responsible for working closely with the Vice President of Human Resources, the Human Resource Manager and other HR members while supporting various HR functions and initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. 5+ years of HR experience required.
2. Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or related field strongly preferred.
3. PHR or SPHR certification or any other advanced accreditations preferred.
4. Previous experience leading and working with a team to meet daily, weekly, and quarterly goals.
5. Intermediate knowledge of California employee benefits, unemployment, worker’s compensation, leave of absence and other related employee rights.
6. Bilingual in Spanish.
7. Proficient in the use of computers.
8. Data entry experience and knowledge of spreadsheets required.
9. Possesses effective written and verbal communication.
10. Must be able to take direction and function as a team member. Has the ability to establish and maintain good communications and relationships with office, field, and administrative personnel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Enforce company policies and procedures.
2. Responsible for achieving goals for the HR department.
3. Completes audits throughout the department to make sure we are following state standards, including monthly benefit, credit card and equipment audits.
4. Manage employee personnel files.
5. Write employment letters as needed.
6. Provides expertise on a broad and comprehensive range of human resource topics, including compensation, performance management, talent development, policy compliance, etc.
7. Assist in identifying opportunities to enhance the department operations, procedures, and policies.
8. Maintains knowledge of policies, processes, and resources as well as all applicable state, federal and local laws.
9. Rollout of all department communications.
10. Counsel, coach, advise and train managers on HR issues, regulations, and other responsibilities.
11. Processes new benefit enrollments; maintains benefit records; coordinates open enrollment sessions and works with third party administrators.
12. Assists with onboarding and offboarding employees.
13. Oversees Leave of Absences, including tracking, documenting, and sending notices to employees to ensure full compliance with state and federal regulations.
14. Coordinates and monitors premium payments with employees on leave of absence.
15. Works in conjunction with the rest of the HR department in performing clerical and other HR duties.
16. Perform other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel and use of hands and fingers to operate computer, telephone, and keyboard on a frequent basis.
- Close vision requirements due to computer work.
- Light to moderate lifting may be required.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
