Job Description:
Lumenor Consulting Group is looking for a Cost Analyst to oversee and manage the review, approval, and payment of monthly project invoices from consultants, contractors, and other vendors for a large capital improvement program of a major transit agency in the DC Metro area. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work in a high volume, multiple task environment, and will have experience working with professional services contracts for transportation and transit agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review consultant invoices for accuracy and completeness utilizing established and approved project guidelines and checklists.
- Work in a professional manner to resolve invoice issues with consultants in a timely manner.
- Monitor invoice approvals by Client’s stakeholders and drive prompt actions.
- Report on the status of payment backlog.
- Prepare capital and operating accruals for Client’s month-end and year-end closing process.
- Monitor budgets and cost data.
- Forecast costs and provide burn rate analysis as requested by project team.
- Develop standard and ad-hoc reports as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Accounting, Business, Finance, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years’ experience in a cost analyst or project controls related role.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications, including advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to work independently on fast-paced, complex projects of large scope.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills
- Local to the D.C. metropolitan area. This is anticipated to be a hybrid position, with 3 days per week reporting to an office.
- 2+ years with transit or transportation capital improvement projects.
- Experience with SharePoint, Procore, eBuilder.
- AACEI CCT or CCP
