Purpose
The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for all items related to shipping and receiving, as well as raw material usage throughout the plant. The successful candidate will be a high energy, self-directed, self-starter with the ability to adapt to changes in schedules/demands with minimal guidance and supervision. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interface across multiple levels of the organization are a must.
Duties:
- · Schedule delivery appointments of raw material based on usage and needs
- Coordinate carriers for all inbound and all outbound shipments as needed- including raw materials, finished goods, maintenance supplies, etc.
- · Enter finished goods shipments & freight-out into SAGE - resolve discrepancies with team
- · Provide order confirmations to customers, based on available volume
- · Follow up on customer requests shipments updates
- · Arrange pick-up times based on inventory availability, customer needs and staffing
- · Check-in delivery appointments, dispatch accordingly
- · Receive raw material Pos and freight-in into SAGE – resolve discrepancies with team
- · Provide expected feedback to accounting & production (quantity, deductions, work orders)
- · Verify raw material is properly issued to production lines – address any discrepancies as needed.
- · Negotiate freight rates whenever possible
- · Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- · Customer service experience in a logistics/order processing role
- · Experience completing export/import documentation
- · Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions
- · Ability to act in a self-confident manner to complete work and/or deal with internal customer
- · Ability to communicate effectively with others verbally and writing clearly/concisely
- · Ability to take care of the customers’ needs while following store procedures
- · Ability to pay attention to the details and follow through.
- · Ability to make decisions or take actions to solve a problem
- · Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work-related problems.
- · Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- · Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing is desired
- · A valid CDL license is required
- Experience dealing with LTL and FTL shipments is required
- · Familiarity with North American geography is desired
- · Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with the aptitude to learn new software quickly
- · Problem solving and decision-making skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
