Summary:
***These are full time positions working 12 hr shifts (3 on/4 off on week one and 4 on/ 3 off on week two). This position works Thur - Sat and every other Sunday. Hours will be from 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM. Additional hours may be available upon request.
This position will require the ability to work independently for the majority of the working hours and will be exposed to outdoor Idaho conditions

The Distillery Operator I will perform daily operational tasks and functions required to produce high quality and safe RTD beverage products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This position requires a high level of mechanical competence.
Previous experience with boilers, piping, liquid transfer, and distillation is highly desired. Knowledge of brewing a plus but not mandatory.
Fork truck experience a plus.
A CDL license with a tanker endorsement is a major plus and will provide additional compensation.
Receive, inspect, and approve raw materials according to specification.
Setup, maintain, and operate production equipment.
Run basic testing and analysis assays.
Record and log operational parameters.
Complies with company policies in accordance with all regulatory and food safety needs.
May assume food safety, quality, and compliance responsibilities of Distillery Operator II in case of absence.
Completes other duties as assigned to meet company needs.

Minimum Qualifications:
Previous food or beverage manufacturing experience is a plus.
Certification and/or experience operating fork trucks.
Experience with boiler and steam systems a plus.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent education.
Language Skills:
Able to read and write in English.
Must be capable of working and communicating needs within a team environment.
Quantitative Skills:
Basic mathematical skills required to keep accurate inventory and work order adjustments.
Able to calculate dilution values.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work within a team environment.
Proficiency with computer based software such as SAP and MS Office is a plus.
Physical Demands:
Must be capable of lifting and moving up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
Work Environment:
The majority time will be spent in an indoor/outdoor manufacturing environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be frequently exposed to fumes, chemicals, loud noises, heights, heat, cold, and moving equipment.
