Join our team as an ADA Project Assessor, where you will play a crucial role in performing ADA assessments and ensuring compliance with accessibility standards. This position involves a combination of on-site facility assessments and remote work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Core Functions:
As an ADA Project Assessor, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting ADA field surveys.
- Participating in all phases of Bureau Veritas accessibility work, including design plan review, field inspections, technical assistance, remediation plans, and training.
- Investigating, analyzing, and responding to technical inquiries related to accessibility issues.
- Demonstrating proficiency in specialized regulations, codes, and standards, including the Americans with Disabilities Act, building codes, and accessibility guidelines.
- Generating written reports using computer, iPad, and other electronic devices and software programs.
- Entering site and building barrier information into BV proprietary cost/barrier library.
In addition, you will:
- Deliver outstanding customer service through timely responses and proactive solutions.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area, complying with all procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Travel, on average, up to 50% of the time to client sites across the U.S. via plane and driving.
- Write reports communicating field findings during time at home.
Qualifications: Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and/or Engineering or related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience conducting ADA assessments and writing technical reports.
- Experience in accessibility drawing reviews and construction monitoring is preferable.
- Familiarity with design and construction related services pertinent to ADA.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Bonus for this role, not Required. Registered Architect, ADA Certifications such as ADAC, CASp, TX RAS, IBC Certified Inspector Plans Inspector.
- Valid driver's license required with no significant MVA points/violations (clean driving record).
Other Qualifications:
- Personal credit sufficient to charge business travel expenses of up to $3,000 required.
- Must have a cell phone and supply your own internet service.
- Ability to work from a remote location.
- Willingness to fly and live near (or be willing to relocate to) a major metropolitan area with reasonable access to a major airport.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications with a strong emphasis on MS Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills, including the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and work independently.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job does not have specific supervisory responsibilities.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
