The Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) announces an examination process to create an eligibility list to two (2) vacancies for the classification of Patient Services Representative District-Wide. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to four (4) months.The current vacancies are in the FQHC Division and will located in the Fremont Clinic. The list will be use to fill future vacancies throughout all District locations.This recruitment will close on or before the date list above, once a sufficient number of qualified applicants have been identified. All new hires will have a starting salary of $19.07 per hour which is non-negotiable.Responsible for providing various activities related to patient support services, such as greeting patients, appointment registration, verifying insurance eligibility, processing sliding fee discounts, collecting payments, answering calls, scheduling appointments, and processing medical records. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Education and Experience: High School Diploma/GED; AND one (1) year of customer or patient service experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.Required Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Continued employment is contingent upon all required licenses and certificates being maintained in active status without suspension or revocation.Incident Command System training, ICS 100, ICS 200, and NIMS within six (6) months of date of hire.Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual English and SpanishMedical Front Office ExperienceMedical Billing ExperienceExperience working with underserved and vulnerable populations
