Job Duties:
Data Management:
- Organize and maintain data in spreadsheets with precision.
- Update and verify existing records to uphold data accuracy.
- Retrieve and import data from diverse platforms effectively.
Data Entry:
- Input textual and numerical information from source documents swiftly and accurately.
- Review data for discrepancies and rectify errors promptly.
- Validate and update outdated information to maintain database currency.
Database Maintenance:
- Perform routine backups to safeguard database information.
- Ensure data security and integrity are consistently upheld.
Project Support:
- Assist in special projects that require extensive data entry.
- Complete assigned tasks such as data transfer, input, and updates in digital databases and spreadsheets.
Physical Tasks:
- Occasionally lift and move objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
- Proficiently use keyboard and mouse for extended periods.
- Perform duties requiring standing, walking, talking, and hearing, as well as sitting for extended durations.
Technical Skills:
- Efficiently operate keyboard and mouse for data entry tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Demonstrate fast and accurate typing skills; familiarity with touch typing preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheet applications.
Communication:
- Communicate clearly and effectively via in-person, telephone, and electronic means.
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
- High school diploma required.
- BA/BS in Business, Transportation, or Logistics preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in transportation logistics.
- Preferred minimum 3 years of experience in data entry.
Skills:
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills, including handling challenging situations.
- Proficiency in PC skills, specifically in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel proficiency is mandatory).
