The Role

As a Director of Technology, you are responsible for the strategic and operational management of all technology initiatives within the organization. You will oversee the development and implementation of technology strategies, managing the IT department, and ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of our technology infrastructure. You will work closely with executive leadership to align technology initiatives with business goals and drive innovation across the company. Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with the company's business objectives.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure the company remains competitive and innovative.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and prioritize technology initiatives that drive business value.
- Technology Management:
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's technology infrastructure.
- Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of all IT systems and applications.
- Manage the development and deployment of new technologies and enhancements to existing systems.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing IT team.
- Ensure the team has the necessary resources and skills to meet organizational goals.
- Project Management:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of technology projects.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Implement best practices in project management to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Budget and Vendor Management:
- Develop and manage the technology budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and alignment with financial goals.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key technology vendors and service providers.
- Compliance and Security:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to technology and data security.
- Implement robust security measures to protect the company's data and technology assets.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- 7-10 Years of experience in technology leadership roles, with a proven track record of successfully leading technology initiatives for Consumer and Enterprise Applications
- Extensive knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and applications.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
- Experience with cloud computing, data analytics, and emerging technologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong project management skills and experience with agile methodologies.
- Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and vendor relationships effectively.
Performance Metrics
- Progress against the strategic technology roadmap.
- Rate at which new technologies are adopted and integrated.
- Percentage of system uptime and the number of critical incidents.
- Average time to respond to and resolve technology issues.
- Output and efficiency of the technology team, measured through project and task completion rates.
- Ability to manage the technology budget, with variances between budgeted and actual spending.
- Adhere to relevant industry regulations and internal compliance requirements.
- Mitigate severity of security incidents, breaches, or vulnerabilities.
- Health of internal and external audits related to technology and information security.
- Quality performance ratings of key technology vendors and partners.
