Kitchen Team Leader Roles and Responsibilities
The Kitchen Team Leader role is a leader in the Restaurant that is dedicated to executing a level of excellence across all 5 critical success factors in the Back of House. As a Kitchen TL, you must come in ready to serve and support your team. You are required to work a minimum of 40 hours a week, 5 days a week, and clock in and out before your shift. You must also clock in and out for a 45-minute unpaid break. Your dress code is an Oobe Chick-fil-A Polo. We expect you to show up in a timely fashion based on the weekly schedule you will receive through Hot Schedules as we hold others to the same standard.

Training/Coaching new BOH Team Members

Ensure we are holding the team to the highest standard

Identify potential coaches assist to in developing and growing both Operationally and Relationally. This person must:

Execution of systems that ensure a refreshingly clean environment.

Maintaining a work environment that ensures and promotes food safety.

Communicate effectively with your Assistant Director, share ideas, and positively approach all situations.

Hold BOH Team Members, and Coaches accountable to all policy standards, for example, timeliness, grooming, cell phones, uniforms, etc.

Constantly Train and develop Team Members in all areas and systems.

Provide both formal and informal feedback to the team on an ongoing basis

Ensure all communication and relationships are professional and effective.

Quality & Customer Experience

Protect the customer experience by ensuring packaging, food presentation, and quality meet or exceed Chick-fil-A standards.

Execute Lean Chicken Entrée at all times
-
Train team on what “LEAN Chicken Entrée” is and how the forecasting system works
-
Following breading iPad
-
Ensure Safe Daily Critical is completed – 3 daily
-
Ensure ERQA is completed – 2 daily
-
Do daily/weekly quality checks to ensure products are meeting standard
-
Maintain a Culture of Food Safety
-
Ensure the Checklist is being completed daily
-
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment
-
Ensure Inventory is organized properly
-
Maintain Travel Path/ensure stock is organized
-
Execute training and roll-out of new products
-
Assess with current/upcoming systems
-
Ensure the restaurant is always ready for visits such as NYC Health Department, Ecosure, Deloitte, and visitors

Coaching the behaviors of all coaches, and Team Members who work in the kitchen.

Ensure the shift is running smoothly and in an ordinal fashion
-

Sales & Brand Growth

Ensure speed and quality of food to retain customers
Financial Return

Equipment Repair & Maintenance on all equipment (comminate to AD with any issues)

Inventory
-
Place truck orders, and ensure you are following Safety Stock numbers

Prep - lean build to’s, portioning, and production
-
Comminate with AD for any inventory issues
-
Execute LEAN in all areas – Chicken, Inventory, Oil Rotation
Facilities and Equipment

Ensure all machines are cleaned properly and working properly – notify AD if not
-
Ensure the kitchen from ceiling to floor is free from build-up and dust
-
Equipment Repair & Maintenance – Utilize Facilities page on @CFA- Ensure Maintenance Calendar is completed, become familiar with Responsibility Matrix, Process for damaged equipment

We will know the Kitchen is successful upon attaining the following:

Ecosure – 1 Elite (1s each quarter = Guardian of the Brand)
