Spanish Grove Academy is currently seeking experienced and passionate bilingual teachers to join our team. Ideal candidates will have a background in preschool education and familiarity with Montessori and/or Reggio Emilia instructional strategies.
Key Qualifications:
Bilingual Proficiency: Fluency in both Spanish and English is essential for effective communication and instruction in our diverse learning environment.
Preschool Teaching Experience: Previous experience working in a preschool setting is crucial. This experience should include planning and implementing educational activities that cater to young children's developmental needs.
Montessori and/or Reggio Emilia Methodologies: Familiarity with, or experience in, Montessori and/or Reggio Emilia educational approaches is highly desirable. This includes an understanding of child-centered and inquiry-based learning practices.
Educational Credentials: A degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is preferred. Additional certifications in Montessori or Reggio Emilia methodologies would be a significant advantage.
Strong Communication Skills: The ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues is essential. This includes both verbal and written communication skills.
Creativity and Flexibility: A creative approach to teaching and the ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs is important.
Team Collaboration: The willingness to work collaboratively with a team of educators to create a nurturing and stimulating educational environment.

Requirements
- Minimum High School Diploma or higher
- Preferred at least two years working experience in a preschool or daycare
- CPR certification and any other health requirements as required by Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services (TDPRS) for licensing and certification
- Demonstrated competence in written and oral communication
- 2+ years of experience working in a Montessori Environment (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience working as a Lead
General
- Arrive promptly daily to prepare class.
- Work directly under the supervision of the Curriculum Coordinator.
- Ensure the responsibility for the safety and physical well-being of the children at all times. Help maintain an environment that meets or exceeds State health, fire, and child-care requirements.
