Overview: The Contract Specialist, reporting to the Director of Academic Planning and Operations, maintains large-scale, complex, multi-million-dollar contracts and oversees academic programs, contracts, and grants. The role involves defining and monitoring contract performance metrics, collaborating with Senior Program Management Specialists, facilitating contract execution, and managing scope of work development for mid-level to multi-million dollar projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and monitor contract performance metrics to ensure timely execution and deliverables.
- Initiate appropriate actions with business owners to ensure amendments or new procurements before contract end dates.
- Collaborate with Senior Program Management Specialists to review risks in the Master Project Plan.
- Facilitate contract execution, including scheduling, deliverable submissions, and interaction with contractors.
- Manage scope of work development and follow protocols for establishing grants or formal contracts.
- Handle contract executions and amendments per internal schedules and state procurement guidance.
- Oversee invoice review processes to ensure alignment with budgets or billing schedules.
- Lead vendor calls to discuss upcoming work and potential deviations from contract terms.
- Assist with day-to-day aspects of academic programs.
- Communicate effectively with educators, contractors, and staff.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3 years of contract management experience
- Experience working in and with schools
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Drive (Word, Excel)
- Ability to maintain detailed records and files
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $26.00 - $31.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
