Job Title: Human Resources Business Partner - Labor Relations
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Human Resources Business Partner to join our client's team (automobile industry). As a key member of the HR department, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to management and employees on conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and other employee relations matters to each dealer. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of employment law, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to build trust and credibility with employees at all levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert guidance and support to management on conflict resolution, including mediating workplace disputes, conducting investigations, and developing strategies to prevent future conflicts.
- Develop and implement effective disciplinary actions, including counseling, written warnings, and terminations, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Conduct workplace investigations to resolve conflicts and allegations of misconduct, including interviewing witnesses, reviewing evidence, and documenting findings.
- Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and training programs related to conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and employee relations.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and management teams, providing HR guidance and support to drive business outcomes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, managers, and employees.
- Analyze business needs and develop strategic HR initiatives to support the organization's goals and objectives.
- Provide HR expertise and guidance on employee relations, performance management, talent development, and succession planning.
- Collaborate with other HR departments, such as recruitment, talent development, and compensation, to ensure alignment and effective delivery of HR services.
- Provide expert advice on employment law, regulations, and best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in HR, with a focus on conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and employee relations.
- Be open to travel to dealers around specific municipalities 90% of the time.
- Proven experience in conducting workplace investigations, mediating conflicts, and developing disciplinary actions.
Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build trust and credibility with employees at all levels.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions:
- Must be open to travel to other company locations or off-site meetings.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines.
- May be required to work evenings or weekends as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
