Summary
As an IT Field Technician, you will be a vital part of our technical support team, responsible for providing software troubleshooting and computer management services. Your core skills in technical support, software troubleshooting, and computer management will be essential in resolving IT issues efficiently. With relevant skills in Microsoft Office, computer networking, and IT support, you will excel in desktop support, VPN, and firewall management. Your expertise in TCP, SCCM, GPO, and Mac OS will ensure smooth operations and effective IT solutions. Responsibilities:
· Administer end-user workstations and support end-user activities utilizing TCP/IP on a primarily Microsoft Windows-based local area network (LAN)
· Investigates user problems and identifies their source; determines possible solutions; tests and implements solutions.
· Maintain procedural documentation/follow-up for repairs on hardware issues and maintain accurate documentation of cabling layouts, connections, and configurations.
· Performs specialized testing of fiber optic cables to ensure strands meet.
· Maintains, installs, de-installs, moves, or removes copper, CAT5 or CAT6 and fiber optic cable.
· Install, terminate, and test network cabling, including copper and fiber optic cables.
· Collaborate with network engineers and IT teams to ensure proper installation and connectivity of network devices.
· Perform cable moves, adds, and changes as required.
· Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues related to cabling infrastructure.
· Conduct cable testing and certification to ensure compliance with industry standards.
· Keep up to date with emerging technologies and advancements in network cabling.
· Assist with inventory management of cabling materials and equipment.
· Accurately reports status, material usage, and expenses.
· Any other task assigned by IT Manager
Requirements:
· Degree in Computer Science, relevant field
· Excellent communication ability
· Experience in troubleshooting and configuring computer platforms, Windows 10/11, MAC OS, software applications based on networked PC
· Highly willing to learn, committed, responsible, and proactive.
· In-depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks
· Certification as IT Technician is a Plus
