Program Director - Perioperative Quality & Safety
Come join the Periop team in a unique role that combines quality, safety and project management across the NYP enterprise. You will have responsibility for the maintenance and oversight of tissue management compliance, reviewing clinical and administrative standards and policies, EMR optimization governance, incident (KEEPSAFE) review / closeout compliance, and other Periop quality data management needs. The Program Director will assist in regulatory responses, plans of correction and evidence of compliance with regulatory standards (The Joint Commission, CMS, DOH). Participate in the development of new standards, as needed to address new programs and/or products in order to ensure quality and patient safety. Collaborate with Physicians (Surgeons, Anesthesiologists) and maintain effective communication between medical, nursing and support staff. This is a full-time position at NYP/Weill Cornell Medical Center working Monday through Friday 8am-4pm, with no weekends or holidays. Must be willing to travel between campuses.
Preferred Criteria
Masters in Nursing or related field (Master’s required if employee is not NP or PA)
American Nurses Credentialing Center approved national board Certification
Experience with regulatory and accreditation surveys
Required Criteria
Bachelor’s Degree
Current NYS clinical licensure (RN or NP or PA)
5 years of clinical experience and progressive leadership experience in quality
Strong consensus building and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of current clinical practice standards and models of care specific to Perioperative Services, including the Joint Commission, NYSDOH and other regulatory agency requirements
Computer skills – Microsoft Office
Data management – aggregation, analysis and synopsis of data

Salary Range:
$145,000-$193,000/Annual
