Essential Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing various types of vehicles, and construction equipment
- Inspect and diagnose malfunctions in vehicles and/or equipment and determine method of repair.
- Perform minor welding when necessary
- Make quality repairs and perform preventative maintenance.
- Accurately document parts and labor used on repair orders using fleet software
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Shop Supervisor
Experience, Educational, and Additional Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-years’ experience as mechanic in a similar industry preferred
- Must have necessary mechanic tools to perform job duties
- Must have knowledge of basic vehicle preventive maintenance techniques
- Must have the ability to diagnose and test for malfunctions in motor vehicles and construction equipment
- Must have the ability to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems
- Must have the ability to troubleshoot and repair basic electrical systems
- Must have the ability to interpret manuals and schematics
- SMAW and MIG certification preferred (welding)
- Must have the ability to lift 75lbs
- Pass mandatory employment drug test required
- Diesel Mechanic Cert is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
