The salary range for this position is $70,224-$87,768
General Description and Classification Standards
As a part of the Department of Aviation (DOA), Facilities & Asset Management Division, the Project Manager I will provide assistance in carrying out the division’s goals and objectives specific to strategically and sustainably managing airport assets; engaging in the day-to-day execution of assigned work, planning, data management, performing facility assessments, monitoring and reporting. Areas of focus will be within Asset Management and Facilities Management.
This position will provide Project Management support within the identified focus areas for various asset management related projects, condition assessments and data collection aiding in the development of the Airport’s Renewal & Replacement efforts.
Duties
Duties include facility asset management related projects, administrative work, and contributing to the development of the asset management program at the airport.
Supervision Received and Exercised
This position works under very general supervision and may work independently with responsibility for an assigned function or program.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

- Assist in managing contract tasks focused on the development of the airport’s Asset Management Program.
- Manage assigned projects from inception to completion; coordinating with internal stakeholders and consultants to ensure project goals and deliverables are achieved.
- Assisting asset management personnel with developing plans and programs for assessing facilities; performing condition assessments on existing facilities responsible to the Department of Aviation.
- Recording facility condition and facility inspections finding; assisting asset management personnel on developing reports.
- Ensures accuracy of asset data within the Airport’s Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS) for use in data driven decision making related to renewal & replacement efforts.
- Oversees the data collection and information management processes in support of asset management programming.
- Assist in ensuring all assessment and inspection activities are properly planned, executed and documented in the Airport’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Assisting asset management personnel on developing documentation such as inspections forms, plans, policies, standards and procedures.
Decision Making
The types of decisions typically made are related to Asset Management Life-Cycle decision making and should be decisive, objective and data-driven. Direction received from supervisor is very general and focuses on end results and is typically collaborative in nature. Position will receive direction from asset management staff on work and project schedules and sequences.
Leadership Provided
Provides assistance to Asset Management personnel consisting of managers, planners and analysts engaged in the Asset Management Programming. Typically has formal project management and/or skills development responsibilities.
