The mission of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation is to honor the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen
Siller who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001. We also honor our military and first responders who continue to make the supreme sacrifice of life and limb for our country.
The Event Manager works directly with the Associate Vice President, Events. Candidate is responsible for organizing, implementing and overseeing operations of specific events.
Duties and responsibilities
- Manage deliverables on projects at hand and provide any necessary reporting to the Associate Vice President, Events.
- Provide assistance to the Associate Vice President, Events in managing the event production process, pre-event planning, contracting, permitting, managing logistics, adhering to timelines, and follow through necessary to achieve goals.
- Participate and coordinate on Foundation events, including but not limited to: Tunnel to Towers 5K Run, T2T Tower Climb at ONE World Trade, annual Gala, Golf Classics, and home dedication ceremonies for program recipients.
- Develop relationships with key operational contacts, both internal and external.
- Pitch in with administrative office responsibilities as a true team member.
- Assist in management of Event team materials stored in warehouse and off-site locations, including keeping ceremonial items ordered/ fully stocked, and inventory records accurate at all times.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in event operations management, production, coordinating with vendors, including security, audiovisual etc.
- Extremely organized, able to work independently and manage tasks from start to completion, meeting deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with a high-level of accuracy with all tasks and pride in a job well done.
- Experience in stage management and stage production.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to track and manage multiple projects at one time.
- Ability to act efficiently on last minute projects.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word.
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
- Quick learner, team player and ready to take on any challenge.
- Ability to learn and use new technology.
- A licensed driver with own working vehicle to use on business trips out of the office.
- Required to travel.
- Required to work on site in Staten Island, NY.

Working conditions
Special working conditions may include: a change in days worked, shift hours, and/or working conditions (outdoors or other locations) when participating and assisting in special events such as:
NYC Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk, golf outings, and other fundraising events, as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
