This is a shiftwork position that consists of 12-hour shifts: Sunday- Wednesday or Wednesday- Saturday with Evening shifts available (Depending on the slot you are hired for).
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: A High School Diploma or equivalent, one year experience working with children in a group setting, a valid Driver's License and at least 21-years of age.
SOME OF THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION INCLUDE:
- Participate in the development and implementation of individual service plans.
- Oversee and assists the residents in the completion of their homework and studies,
household chores, house maintenance, personal care, meal preparation and shopping,
social and recreational activities, and transportation services, as necessary.
- Possess appropriate report writing and communication skills
- Maintain the residence, vehicle, and equipment in a safe, functional, and secure manner
- Assists the residents in the expression and fulfillment of their needs within the guidelines
established in the facility policies to provide growth and self-sufficiency.
- Provides crisis intervention strategies as prescribed in the policies and procedures for treatment/support, as necessary..
- Present and available and report to all assigned meetings and communicate changes or updates for clients in your care.
- Supports and follows all policies and procedures, as well as complying with all applicable
state regulations.
- Be trained in certified in the administration of medications in accordance with policies and
procedures governing medication administration.
- Manages relationships with residents, visitors, families, and staff by responding promptly to inquiries with tact and sensitivity. Demonstrates a courteous, cooperative, and positive attitude, maintaining strict standards of confidentiality and professional conduct.
Work Environment:
May consist of residential settings, schools, community, medical facilities during health assessments, vehicle transportation, office locations.
