About the Role:
We are looking for an innovative and self-motivated individual with a track record of success in electrical engineering focusing on protection and controls. This role involves the design, implementation, and coordination of projects within the Substation division. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 8 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, particularly in substation protections and controls within the power industry.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Development of substation relaying and metering diagrams, including A.C. and D.C. schematic diagrams.
- Preparation of specifications and Bill of Material for various panels related to protection, control, metering, RTU, and communication.
- Designing schematic diagrams for SCADA and communication interfaces, encompassing RTUs, HMIs, and IEDs.
- Creation of layouts for protection and control panels, wiring diagrams, and cable schedules.
- Ensuring engineering deliverables adhere to project schedules and scope requirements, and highlighting any risks to project managers.
- Acting as the main technical contact point for customers, managing technical discussions related to construction and procurement.
- Knowledge of relevant Electrical Codes and Standards such as IEC, NEC, IEEE, and UL.
- Reviewing vendor documentation when necessary.
- Practical experience with erection and commissioning of electrical installations is advantageous.
- Conducting arc-flash hazard calculations and providing recommendations for reducing incident energy levels.
- Offering specialized technical input for studies and design efforts, as well as quality control reviews of team members' work.
- Participation in the development of technical proposals, including providing estimates for engineering budgets.
- Proficiency in clear communication, both verbally and in writing, with stakeholders globally.
- Continuously updating technical skills and knowledge in alignment with evolving product requirements.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team to achieve common objectives.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- PE Certification and a minimum of 8 years’ experience in Protections & Controls for the Energy industry.
- Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills, along with effective communication abilities.
