As the Director of Operations, your primary responsibilities will be to oversee AutoNation Mobile Service (ANMS) field operations managers, including operations, consumer, and fleet accounts. You will ensure that ANMS strategic vision is executed in a highly efficient, measurable, and scalable manner. You will grow and manage a high-performing operations delivery team and strongly collaborate across the entire organization to achieve growth and profitability targets.
WE WILL DEPEND ON THIS PERSON TO

Overall accountability for their region from culture building to P&L. The incumbent is responsible for driving efficient scalable operation by prioritizing safety, quality, and productivity

Oversees operations in the defined market and drive business growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction

Manage and develop a team of operations managers and automotive repair technicians

Partner with Operations leaders to identify opportunities to drive efficiency and scale the operations with solid foundations

Co-operate closely with sales team members to achieve service sales targets and maintain customer satisfaction

Deploy additional vans in the defined market and hire field operations employees accordingly

Optimize market coverage and staffing levels in ANMS service areas

Manage, motivate, and grow the technician workforce with a focus on required technicians’ skill

Collaborate closely with the account managers to launch new service locations

Be the point of escalation for material and service-related issues and proactively recommend go-forward solutions

Identify improvement opportunities and initiate optimization measures along field operations (scheduling, dispatch, service/repair execution, customer interaction and follow-up, fleet repair van/tool handling, etc.)

Monitors and controls the performance of their region using appropriate reports, tracking systems and feedback from stakeholders

Facilitate team building and the growth of ANMS services and work culture

Work with the team in-person regularly, which includes 50% traveling
YOU SHOULD HAVE
-
An undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
-
7+ years of experience in an operations related role
-
Industry experience in operations, automotive, mobility, home services, or delivery related businesses is preferred

Experience overseeing and growing customer-related operations including customer service and field services
-
Experience in supply chain and procurement procedures

Experience in managing a national workforce of both salary and hourly employees and ability to work with remote teams across time zones to develop strategies and foster a cohesive and creative work environment

Strong ability to manage and motivate staff through excellent communication, organization, and operational involvement

Willingness to travel -50%
