We are looking for energetic, tech savvy individual with the ability to create a supportive, working dynamic amongst the instructors that inspire them to consistently thrive to provide great lessons for their students. You are creative, a problem solver that tackles challenges with tact, calm under pressure, and is a supportive manager with an expertise in ESL.
You'll be working with our Senior Director of Education and both campus administrative staff to ensure our two campus locations (Monterey Park and Rowland Heights) are running smoothly on the ground. Your main campus will be in Rowland Heights.
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Ability to commute to Rowland Heights campus (+Monterey Park a plus)
- At least 2-years of ESL teaching experience in an IEP
- Experience using various textbook materials by top ESL publishers
- Understanding of student-centered teaching methodology and various student modalities
- Have taught various levels of English and/or experience working with international students of all proficiency levels
- Have attended at least one CATESOL and/or TESOL workshop or conference
We are looking for someone who can:
- Upholding and ensuring all teachers are following AEC curriculum and teaching standards
- Problem solve creatively and quickly, while maintaining your calm during stressful situations
- Communicate and collaborate well with others
- Flexible and willing to provide support to those around you, in a variety of situations
- Work with the Senior DOE to manage, train, and supervise teachers
- Find and interview for ESL and all foreign language tutors – contribute to developing substitute and tutor pool
- Manage and support instructor (staff, tutoring, and sub) needs
- Conduct instructor observations and provide constructive feedback
- Assist in textbook selection for ESL and other foreign language materials
- Generate assessment and organize all resource information
- Conduct Monthly Teacher Trainings
- Work with administrative staff to resolve student and teacher issues
- ACCET Accreditation involvement (in regards to Education / Program with Senior Director of Education)

- Participate in school social activities and getting teachers’ participation
- General program inquiries from potential students
- Student questions
The Assistant Director of Education acts as a liaison between the faculty and the administration, and between the President, Management, Faculty, and students. They are responsible for collaborating with the Senior Director of Education at the Main Branch on all educational matters at AEC, and reports to the Senior Director of Education at the Main Branch.
