Position: Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) - Pediatrics Urgent Care for 9 to 9 shift doing 3-12s and two weekends a month.

Responsibilities
- Assessment and Diagnosis: NPs must accurately assess and diagnose pediatric patients presenting with urgent medical needs. This involves conducting thorough physical examinations, reviewing medical histories, and ordering appropriate diagnostic tests when necessary.
- Treatment Planning: Developing and implementing treatment plans based on assessment findings and clinical guidelines is crucial. This includes prescribing medications, recommending therapies, and providing patient education to caregivers.
- Collaboration: Working closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and specialists, to coordinate care and ensure continuity for pediatric patients.
- Patient Education: Providing clear and understandable instructions to parents or caregivers regarding the child's condition, treatment plan, and follow-up care is vital for ongoing management and recovery.
- Documentation: Accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses is necessary for legal and continuity of care purposes.
- Quality Improvement: Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes, improve processes, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
- Ethical Considerations: Upholding ethical principles in patient care, respecting patient autonomy, and advocating for the best interests of pediatric patients.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing (NP) or Physician Assistant Studies (PA) from an accredited program.
- Current NP or PA licensure in the state of New York.
- Minimum of 1 years of clinical experience in Pediatrics (Mandatory).
- Strong clinical skills (Mandatory).
