Bookkeeper
Latham Roofing & Siding is a leading home improvement company in the Capital Region. The bookkeeper is responsible for providing our vendors with fast and accurate financial information about our business, including preparing journal entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. The Bookkeeper provides financial analysis and reports to the management team, while helping to ensure efficiency and controls of the company.
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience is required.
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping practices and procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Knowledge of general accounting practices and procedures.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to problem solve and communicate with senior management in a timely manner.
- Ability to work with a diverse group of people.
- Prior experience in rental property bookkeeping
Responsibilities:
·Manage the accounting functions for the company, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing, cash flow reporting, payroll, and bank deposits.
·Prepare financial statements for various companies in a timely manner by reviewing records, calculating amounts, and reconciling bank statements and credit cards.
·Prepare journal entries for inventory inventory purchases by analyzing data from company records or other sources.
This is a full time position consisting of Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5:00PM with a half hour lunch break each day.
