The Director of Human Resources-Housing & Powersports will be a critical member of the business leadership team with a focus on overseeing, driving, and implementing human resources initiatives while ensuring alignment with business objectives. This is a hands-on role. This role also collaborates closely with HR COEs to leverage enterprise solutions to complex business issues that enable business results.
Job Responsibilities
- Formulate business unit and leadership partnerships with goal of delivering value-added HR services to team members and leaders that align with the business objectives of the business.
- Build credibility and trust with leadership teams by possessing an effective level of business literacy about the business unit (e.g., financial position, strategies, culture, and talent) complemented with proven expertise in the HR function.
- Lead efficient delivery of HR programs, solutions, and day-to-day operational activities to businesses.
- Identify, promote, and implement HR best practice sharing across business units/pillars.
- Provide guidance and input on business unit structure, workforce planning, and talent management.
- Identify training and development needs for organization, its leaders, and/or team members and facilitate plans to address.
- Facilitate business unit/pillar talent and succession reviews.
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to leadership (e.g., coaching, performance improvement, discipline).
- Maintain a high level of proficiency with HR technology tools.
- Help drive increased leader and team member usage and competency of HR technology tools.
- Identify and understand the demand/need for relevant HR data and metrics from business leaders.
- Deliver reporting, analysis, and proactive insight on HR-related data to business leaders.
- Assist and lead implementation of programs and processes in collaboration with Center of Expertise (COE).
- Partner with operations, finance, and others on identified M&A work to include onboarding new team members and integration of HR services and programs.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of HR experience with broad knowledge of and experience with Human Resources principles, practices, and procedures.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach/mentor leaders on organizational and individual performance needs and solutions.
- Excellent knowledge of federal, state, employment, and safety regulations.
- Ability to problem solve and identify solutions to support business workforce strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate required change.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation/communication skills.
- Strong experience with HR technology solutions.
- M&A experience.
- Experience in manufacturing.
- Some travel required.
- Hands on, servant leadership mindset.
- Facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
