Purpose:
The Entry Level Survey Technician is an an important member of a two or three-person field crew. Provides assistance and support to the Instrument person and Crew Chief in completing field survey work.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Learns from the members of the crew the tasks being performed, why they are being performed and the importance thereof.
- Loads equipment and supplies into the vehicle for the work to be performed each day.
- Follows directions issued by the Survey Crew Chief while on the specific job site.
- Is aware of surroundings to act in a safe manner at all times.
- Carries equipment and supplies needed to perform the work of the day.
- Accurately completes time report.
- Maintains optimal communication with the Survey Crew Chief.
Qualifications:
- No prior experience or training necessary but Survey experience is preferred.
- High School diploma.
- Ability to perform basic calculations and math functions.
- Must be willing and able to travel as necessary.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
