Summary: As the Manager of Financial Planning, Analysis and Accounting, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of our manufacturing or distribution organization. This role involves developing financial models, preparing and analyzing budgets, and providing strategic insights to executive leadership. Your expertise in FP&A, coupled with strong leadership and analytical skills, will drive financial performance and support decision-making processes across the company.

Essential Duties:
FP&A Leadership:

Lead the annual long-range forecast process and prepare presentations for executive management.

Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.

Identify and research variances to forecast, budget, and prior-year expenses, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.

Lead the KPI reporting process for leadership communications and data-insight meetings.

Create presentations that provide insightful analysis, identify required action items, and effectively frame decisions to be made.

Develop key performance indicators measuring the financial health of the company and functions.
Financial Reporting and Analysis:

Prepare monthly budget versus actual reports for all departments, including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Human Resources, Finance & Accounting, and Executive Management.

Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
- Prepare weekly sales updates for the executive team, providing detailed analysis for all sales channels and customers.
Budgeting and Forecasting:

Support the preparation of monthly FP&A modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.

Work with leadership and department heads to develop solutions to ensure all departments remain on track to annual plans.

Lead monthly budget meetings for all departments, reviewing and analyzing gross revenue, promotional spend,and operating expenses.
System and Process Improvement:

Identify and implement systems, tools, and process changes to streamline the accounting function and reduce time to close.

Coordinate with third-party vendors to maintain accounting ERP software systems and recommend updates to enhance reporting or increase efficiencies.
Cash Flow and Treasury Management:

Support cash flow and treasury management.

Oversee payroll processing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
Commissions:

Prepare, validate, and process data related to commission accounting, commission expense, and reconciliation of commission liabilities.

Liaison between Finance, Sales, and Operations with respect to commission activity.

Investigate commission discrepancies, resolution, and mitigation.

Prepare and distribute sales commission reports.
-
Maintain compensation system and perform data inputs, ensuring accuracy through validation and data quality checks.
Supervisor Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage the daily activities of the Senior Accountant, Accounting Specialist, Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist, and Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist.
Qualifications: Education/Experience:

Bachelor's Degree: Accounting or Finance required; MBA preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Accounting
-
and Finance with a focus on Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A),
-
ideally within a manufacturing or distribution setting.

Financial Modeling: Extensive experience in financial modeling, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Price Costing: Prior experience in price costing within manufacturing or distribution environments is highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
-
ERP Systems: Proficient in NETSUITE ERP preferred

Microsoft Excel: Advanced skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.

Power BI: Knowledge and experience required.

GAAP: In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
