The Material Handler I (Temporary to Hire) continually handles cartons for unloading, stacking, racking, and pulling product. Utilizing multiple warehouse equipment to move, store, and replenish product, the material handler follows established operating procedures and adheres to all safety guidelines to ensure the safety of all associates. Fostering a team-oriented environment, the material handler works collaboratively with others and possesses the ability and flexibility to adapt to changing operational demands. This individual must also be able to fully follow through on assigned tasks and be extremely conscientious with numbers and product details to ensure accuracy of order fulfillment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:
- Accumulates, palletizes, wraps, and properly labels customer orders
- Locates and removes required product from warehouse racks
- Moves product between reserve and active locations
- Hand-loads cartons into correct warehouse pick locations
- Unloads inbound containers
- Performs other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- 1–3 years of Warehouse/Distribution experience or other industry related experience, preferred
- Candidates with 1 year Retail Associate, Store Associate, and/or Retail Sales Associate experience are encouraged to apply!
- DNA offers Paid Training & a climate-controlled warehouse!
- Must effectively communicate and understand written and oral instructions in English
- Basic math skills and computer literacy, preferred
- Prior RFID scanning experience, preferred
- Forklift certified or must be able to successfully complete training and obtain certification within 60 days
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. continuously and stand for up to 8-10 hours per day.
