Hybrid work arrangement; remote and in office two days per week in Newark, NJ office.
The ideal candidate is a strategic business leader with direct Healthcare integration experience, a strong technical acumen and proven expertise in executional rigor delivering on interoperability projects in a highly matrixed environment. This is a highly cross functional role requiring close collaboration between several business units working as one team. You will be charged with developing strong technical relationships with our vendor partners, effectively and accurately communicate complex technical strategies, lead the integration team according to NJII methodologies and standards, and deliver assigned tasks on time. This is a working Director position, meaning you will be required to pitch in and help the team on occasion to help meet business objectives. Technical writing skills and experience with SOW and RFP responses are highly desired.
Person Reports To
This role will report directly to and work closely with the Healthcare Technology Officer.
Management Responsibilities
In addition to managing direct reports, the Director of Integration Healthcare Technology will manage team resource allocations and budget for the NJII healthcare technology team. Additional responsibilities include staff promotion, advancement plans, corrective action and termination as appropriate and conduct annual team performance reviews. Assist in the professional development of staff with training, coaching and mentorship as needed. Clearly define and articulate expectations and responsibilities, by role, for subordinates.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree (BS or BA) from a four-year college or university or work equivalent

Minimum 8 years of related experience; 5 years at a management level.

Experience with the integration of electronic health record data from both acute and outpatient care settings.

An understanding of care team workflows as they pertain to electronic health record data integration.

Experience working with, and thorough understanding of HL7 and IHE standard data formats

Basic knowledge of networking solutions and an ability to communicate connection requirements and next steps to healthcare facilities and our vendor partners.

Facilitate client-facing design sessions in support of new business opportunities.

Experience with the integration of data from several different EMR vendors is a plus.
