**Job Summary:**
The DSP/Production Specialist at CLW in Forest Park, OH, plays a crucial role in creating a supportive and safe environment for clients with developmental disabilities. In addition to planning and implementing programs to promote independence, the Production Specialist supports vocational work initiatives under the Vocational Director's guidance. The DSP/Production Specialist will work full-time in a day program setting Monday-Friday, 8AM - 4PM.
**Responsibilities:**
- Motivate and engage clients in vocational work activities to foster skill development and independence.
- Provide direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their well-being and safety at all times.
- Instruct clients in maladaptive behavior reduction, self-help skills, and effective communication techniques.
- Maintain detailed documentation of programs, care provided, and any concerning behaviors observed.
- Monitor and manage clients' personal belongings, coordinating repairs or replacements as needed.
- Arrange transportation for clients and maintain the vehicles to ensure safety and reliability.
- Handle vocational billing, invoicing, and oversee timely completion of vocational work tasks.
- Serve as a liaison between clients, staff, and the Vocational Director to facilitate smooth operations.
- Collaborate with existing and potential customers to create meaningful work opportunities for CLW clients.
