POSITION SUMMARY:
The Business Development Manager is a key team member at PMI Contra Costa and is responsible for driving the company's growth by identifying and securing new property management contracts. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, results-driven professional with a proven track record of success in sales and business development.
A successful business development manager will have a deep understanding of the property management industry and be able to communicate effectively the value of PMI Contra Costa's services to potential clients. They should also possess strong interpersonal skills, be able to build and maintain relationships with property owners and be able to close deals.
This position offers significant growth potential for the right candidate. As the Business Development Manager expands PMI Contra Costa's portfolio, they will have the opportunity to advance into higher-level roles within the company, such as Senior Business Development Manager or Director of Business Development. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the company's continued success and will be rewarded with competitive compensation and opportunities for professional development.
Please note that this position is classified as a 1099 independent contractor role.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand PMI Contra Costa's property management portfolio.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to attract new clients.
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients and analyze competitors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with property investors and industry professionals.
- Negotiate and close property management contracts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new clients.
- Track and report on key performance indicators related to business development activities.
- Represent PMI Contra Costa at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Licensed Real Estate Agent or willing to get a Real Estate License.
- Strong work ethic and a desire to succeed in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with potential clients.
- Confidence and assertiveness when presenting PMI Contra Costa's services and negotiating contracts.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Adaptable and resilient, with the ability to overcome objections and persist in the face of challenges.
- Strategic thinking skills and the ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple prospects simultaneously.
- Willingness to continuously learn and stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
An introductory Stipend of $1,500 a month is available
Annual OTE of $69,500 - $100,000 with no commission cap
