TITLE: After School Site Director
REPORTS TO: School Age Director
JOB SUMMARY:
Manages overall daily operations at their designated site under the direction of the School Age Director with the primary focus of offering a safe and fun program that follows a set schedule of activities. Supervises and trains staff and volunteers. Manages the facility, budget, community relations, and licensing requirements.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Leadership
- Establish site programs, activities, and services that prepare youth for success and create an outcome-driven experience that facilitates the achievement of youth development.
- Ensure a healthy, safe environment, with well-maintained facilities, equipment, and supplies.
- Hands on training and guiding of staff to ensure expectations of classroom environment and engagement are met
Strategic Planning
- Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate overall services and activities at site to ensure they meet stated objectives and parent needs and interests. Get feedback from parents to adjust program content when needed.
Resource Management
- Manage site financial resources, assisting in the development of annual budgets. Manage expenditures against budget.
- Ensure compliance with organization policies.
- Manage and help with career development opportunities for site staff and volunteers. Conduct regular staff meetings.
Partnership Development
- Develop partnerships with parents, community leaders, school professionals and organizations.
Marketing and Public Relations
- Develop and maintain public relations to increase the visibility of programs, services, and activities within the community.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with School Age Director and Executive Assistant to approve the purchase of supplies and equipment.
- Work with staff to carry out special events in your program.
- Assume other duties as assigned.
RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: Maintain close, daily contact with staff to interpret and explain organizational mission, program objectives and standards, discuss issues, and provide/receive information. Regular contact with parents as needed to listen, advise, and counsel.
External: Maintain contact with external community groups, schools, parents, and others to assist in resolving problems and to publicize the program.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position may involve lifting, bending, and standing. Must be able to demonstrate and/or describe activities to youth. This position works around youth and adults with moderate exposure to noise. This position will work both indoors and outdoors.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
- Four-year degree in education or a related field from an accredited college or university. OR SACC Credential.
- A minimum of five years’ work experience in an organization that plans and supervises activities based on the developmental needs of young people.
- Demonstrated ability in personnel supervision, facilities management, and the recruitment and retention of key personnel.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to recruit, train, supervise and motivate staff.
- Ability to deal effectively with members and manage behavior challenges.
- Working knowledge of budget preparation, control, and management.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Schedule:

1:30-6:30pm Monday – Friday. With one day a week coming in at 12:30 for a supervisors meeting.

Additional hours available when the schools are closed, and our Center based program is open for the full day. (This includes our Summer Program)
