We are looking for a dedicated person to join our family to as a Production Planner for our Metal Stamping department.

Flexible 1st shift hours, great working culture – will consider motivated candidates without formal Production Planning work experience but who may have purchasing experience or supporting supply chain education.
Position will be responsible for:
- Production/capacity planning using ERP and related spreadsheets
- Setting priorities for internal production, and external subcontracting schedules
- Schedule/manage vendor lead times for material purchasing and part subcontracting processes (including detailed review of specs)
- Keeping a pulse on/understanding production progress across 3 shifts
- Material & staging logistics for raw, WIP, FG, scrap materials between buildings and departments as needed
- Support department organization/staging at each press for job related materials
- Assist in managing material and inventory flow/processes
- Parts inventory & material issuance to jobs for costing
- Tracking/organizing raw, WIP, and finished good inventory as needed (may be both physical and system based)
- Take the lead on vendor, and support customer, communication as needed related to planning and work progress updates
- Lead daily shipping requirements/communication, labeling processes, and assist operators as needed hands on to support on time delivery
- Assist with quoting processes for repeat stamping jobs
- Supporting department meet delivery & sales volume KPI’s
- Assist with ERP system or other work process improvements as needed
- Other tasks as assigned/needed in order to keep the department work flowing, may involve quality/inspection related processes or material handling
Qualified Candidates will:
- Be self-motivated, hands on, natural team player
- Willing to interface/communicate independently with shop floor leads and employees to get answers, solve problems
- Have prior ERP system experience, or be proficient in using/learning software or systems, and comfortable in Excel.
- Be comfortable working in an environment with shifting priorities, multiple shifts
- Have an interest in or passion for manufacturing
- Some prior work experience as a production planner or buyer preferred, but not required.
- Some prior work experience in a manufacturing environment required
- General business, or supply chain degree is also preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift raw material and finished goods up to 35 pounds
- Any Blueprint reading experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to help with quality investigations using inspection equipment, preferred but not required

Pay: $60,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
