We are seeking a skilled Mortgage Processor to join our dynamic team at Alvorada Mortgage, LLC. We are a mortgage broker that prioritizes candidates with previous mortgage processing experience to ensure the efficient and accurate processing of mortgage applications. As a Mortgage Processor, you will play a vital role in facilitating the loan origination process, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies, and providing exceptional service to our clients.
Responsibilities:
1. Application Processing: Review mortgage applications submitted by borrowers and confirm their completeness and accuracy. Verify all supporting documents and data to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
2. Documentation Collection: Liaise with borrowers, loan officers, and other relevant parties to collect and organize all necessary documentation for mortgage applications, such as income verification, credit reports, appraisals, and title reports.
3. File Management: Maintain organized and up-to-date electronic files for each mortgage application. Ensure that all required documentation is included and stored securely for future reference.
4. Communication: Act as a point of contact between clients, loan officers, underwriters, and other stakeholders involved in the mortgage process. Provide regular updates on application status and address any inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
5. Loan Compliance: Review loan files to ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines, company policies, and industry best practices. Identify and rectify any discrepancies or issues that may impact loan approval or processing timelines.
6. Timely Submissions: Ensure that all necessary loan documents and information are submitted to underwriters within established timelines. Monitor and track the progress of applications to meet closing deadlines.
7. Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews of loan files to verify accuracy and completeness. Perform data validation and quality checks to minimize errors and mitigate risk.
8. Client Support: Provide exceptional customer service to borrowers by addressing their queries, explaining loan requirements, and assisting them throughout the mortgage application process.
9. Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on mortgage industry trends, regulations, and compliance guidelines. Continuously enhance your knowledge of loan products, programs, and underwriting criteria.
Requirements:
- 3+ Years previous mortgage processing or underwriting experience is required.
- Experience processing NON-QM loans such as Bank Statement, DSCR, ITIN Etc. is preferred but not required
- Proficiency in Portuguese and/or Spanish is a plus but not required.
- Strong understanding of mortgage loan products, documentation, and underwriting processes.
- Familiarity with mortgage software systems and loan origination platforms.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to create and edit PDF documents and utilize electronic signature software.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Exceptional time management and organizational abilities to meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
