Regional Sales Manager (MIDWEST)

Summary:
Sales Managers are responsible for planning, organizing and directing sales activities to maximize sales and profits by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Make Sales Calls.
-
Develops implements and analyzes sales programs, and makes necessary adjustments as required.

Establishes and implements sales goals within management guidelines.
-
Reviews the general business climate and adjusts staffing and materials as needed.
-
Understands and supports established sales policies and procedures to ensure sales personnel provide proper and effective treatment to customers.

Applies knowledge of company products and services to assist sales representatives with providing quality customer service.

Reviews and approves expenses requested by sales staff.
-
Reviews and resolves customer complaints in a professional and timely manner as directed and/or required.

Establishes, develops and monitors internal sales representative organization.
-
Represents Company at trade organizations as required.

Travels to customer locations to complete sales calls as required.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Meet and exceed revenue targets set per Segment/ Product.

Create and develop new revenue on existing accounts.

Maintain customers profile report and follow up on leads.

Assimilate market information and take part in the overall business development through weekly / monthly sales meetings.

Promote the services and products of all entities, and coordinate sales efforts with other department sales

Education/Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from four-year University, ideally with major/concentrations in business/marketing, logistics and/or supply chain management, or equivalent degree.

3+ years of related outside sales experience, with a demonstrable book of business
and strong shipper relationships in diversified industries. -
Experience with logistics processes, systems and solutions.

Relevant (functionally specific) job knowledge and experience, including ocean
(NVOCC) & air freight, both import and export
