As a CPI Manufacturing Engineering Tech Specialist, you will work under minimal supervision to provide technical support to operations on a variety of tasks including machine downtime recovery, product problems, and quality evaluations. The technician would be the first line of defense in helping to resolve safety concerns, troubleshooting quality issues, and improve production efficiency. Additionally, they could include review of workflows, routings, floor layouts, material handling, testers, or machine utilization. Work could include repairing, maintenance, or design of production testers and fixtures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provides support to production and manufacturing engineers on a variety of tasks.
- Performs troubleshooting and continuous improvement involving the repairing, modification, and testing of mechanical, electronic, or electro-mechanical devices, assemblies, and production equipment.
- Repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
- Assists in analyzing, planning and execution experiments and gathers, maintains, formats, and compiles technical data.
- Aids in the analysis, planning and implementation of manufacturing engineering process changes or engineering design changes to support plant operations.
- Proficient in reading and understanding wiring diagrams, pinout instructions, engineering drawings (mechanical & electrical), and assembly instructions.
- Maintains and develops work instructions and process controls to ensure equipment is performing to design specifications.
- Serves as an expert for production machinery and provides training for safe operation of machinery and routine preventive maintenance.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
- Performs under supervision, applies intermediate skills, may adapt new procedures, techniques, tools, etc. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
