The Lutheran Home and Harwood Place is seeking to add a Medical Records – Unit Clerk to our team. This position is responsible for providing a wide range of secretarial, administrative and medical records support to the nursing unit such as:

Coordinate with physicians, nursing staff, patients, families, and other departments in relation to patient care

Coordinate patient appointments, transportation, transfers, and discharges

Receive, analyze, process, and maintain both paper and electronic charts
-
Perform secretarial and administrative duties on nursing units.
Requirements for the position:

High school diploma or equivalent
-
2 years of Unit Clerk, scheduling, or similar experience
-
Prior experience in a nursing home preferred
-
Excellent oral and written communication skills
-
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt to interruptions and changing priorities/workloads.
