This is a role that will be cross-trained at Perch LA and Mrs. Fish. The best fit for this position is a candidate who has experience as a lead busser, runner, server, or barback in a high-volume fine dining/upscale restaurant or has at least one year of experience as a restaurant supervisor who is interested in a path to train to be a full-time manager.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, including managing staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining quality standards.
- Coordinate and supervise all aspects of food production, including menu planning, inventory management, and food safety protocols.
- Train and develop restaurant staff to provide excellent customer service and uphold company standards.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to create and update menus based on customer preferences and seasonal availability.
- Manage restaurant budgets, control costs, and optimize profitability.
- Implement effective marketing strategies to attract new customers and promote repeat business.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve restaurant operations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in an upscale restaurant or hotel or banquet setting.
- Strong knowledge of food production techniques, menu planning, and catering operations.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards of quality.
- Knowledge of bartending techniques and beverage service is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with staff, customers, and vendors.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
