Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of duties to install, repair, test, calibrate and adjust all mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and electronic instruments, controls, devices and systems. Work from Maintenance request and/or verbal instructions of Supervisor. Read schematic diagrams, mechanical drawings, instruction sheets and manufacturers’ manuals. Inspect, clean, repair, install and replace parts and components. Possess familiarity of all shop equipment and machinery in order to test, calibrate and adjust control instruments, meters, circuits, systems and devices. Diagnose problems, replace worn and defective parts. Build special control apparatus and thermocouples. Monitor operation of all electrical equipment; diagnose, repair and maintain all high voltage equipment and power transmission lines including 440 volts and 4160 volts. Perform preventive maintenance program. Operate electrical equipment and furnaces in order to monitor normal and abnormal behavior. Use hand and power tools, welding and burning equipment, measuring/test equipment and shop machinery in order to fabricate tools and parts to repair equipment. Operate material handling equipment including lift truck, cranes and high reach equipment.

- Ability to adapt to varying weather conditions: hot and cold temperatures throughout the year
- You will be standing on your feet the majority of your shift.
- PPE Requirement: steel toed boots (metarsal guard may be required), safety glasses
- Properly follow company and OSHA safety practices and procedures
- Ability to push, pull, lift heavy parts up to 50lbs
Qualifications:
- Must have satisfactory background check
- Be able to operate a forklift, training will be provided
- Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions, work independently
- The ability to perform a wide-range of tasks, with an equal blend of interpersonal and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate efficiently
- Ability to use safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
