Inova Loudoun Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Supervisor to perform and oversee the activities involved in decontaminating, inspecting, cleaning, processing, assembling, storing, and sterilizing reusable surgical instruments. Responsibilities will include:

Coordination of staff schedules, monitoring all processing areas, shifting resources as necessary to facilitate desired outcomes.

Investigation of problems/ concerns; utilizing a proactive problem-solving approach to meet customer needs.

Collection and analysis of data to improve work processes; makes recommendations to resolve problems and facilitate desired outcomes.

Performs intermittent quality checks on all employees.

Ensures all equipment is fully operational, work areas are clean and orderly, and that proper supply levels are maintained.

Coordinates and evaluates the repair, replacement, and refurbishment of all instruments and equipment

Identifies opportunities for cost reduction, and participates in the implementation and documentation of cost reduction initiatives.

Responsible for teaching, mentoring, and precepting of all new employees; documents orientation results in the employee record.

Assists OR Manager with interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating SPD staff
Qualifications:

High School or GED

5 years’ experience in Sterile Processing/ OR Surgical Tech.

Must have CRCST Certification or obtain CRCST Certification within 1 year of hire.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a lead or supervisory role with certification in healthcare leadership CSPM or CHL or obtain certification within 1 year of hire.
Work Schedule: M-F, 0800-1630
