Head of Service/Clinical Director
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Head of Service to join our team. The Head of Service will oversee the clinical operations, ensuring high-quality care delivery and adherence to regulatory STRTP Licensing standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, licensure, and a passion for improving the outcomes of our youth and families.
Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical supervision for the staff that is rendering clinical services.
- Assist in ensuring the delivery of quality and appropriate services.
- Be responsible for clinical presentation to the Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Committees.
- Assign clinical coverage.
- Assign/review caseloads.
- Oversee the pre-placement and intake of all incoming clients.
- Participates in staff training programs.
- Develop and maintain positive and effective relationships with other public and private agencies at the City, County, State, and Federal levels.
- Develop and maintain positive and effective relationships with the community.
- Develop positive and effective relationships with clients, family members, and advocates.
- Develop and maintain positive and effective relationships with administrative and program staff of other Agency programs, including the San Bernardino Department of Behavioral Health.
- Develop and maintain an effective and positive service delivery team.
- Provide direct services as necessary and appropriate.
- Participate in the development/supervision of the clinical budget, as deemed by the Director.
- Be an active and productive member of the Agency Management team.
- Attend all appropriate Agency and external meetings and conferences.
- Actively participate in the Agency’s Strategic Planning process.
- Participate in the hire and discharge process for clinical staff.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate all appropriate clinical staff.
- Ensure the delivery of quality and appropriate services.
- Be instrumental in the development of new and expanded mental health delivery
- Be instrumental in identifying new and expanded populations for the Agency to serve.
- Be instrumental in the pursuit of funding resources for service provision.
- Participate in grant and proposal submissions.
- Ensure relevant staff training programs, both orientation and on-going
- Provide Crisis On-Call services as relevant to the clinical program.
- Complete an admission statement on all new clients upon admission.
- Facilitate the transition determination planning for all clients.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills:
- Proficiency in <CARF> regulations and standards for healthcare facilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage clinical operations effectively.
- Strong background in Group Home/STRTP practices to drive operational excellence.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to foster a collaborative work environment.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed principles to guide clinical decision-making.

Pay: $78,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
