Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team. Given general direction, you will be responsible for assessing and treating clients with autism and other developmental disabilities. Additionally, you will be expected to engage in a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach with particular attention given to parental involvement. Candidate must NOT be an employee of the Department of Education.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to include functional behavioral assessments, skill assessments utilizing ABLLS-R, VB-MAPP and AFLS.
- Develop and implement behavior intervention plans.
- Provide direct patient care, including behavior analysis and intervention
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure consistency in treatment approaches
- Monitor progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as necessary
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Stay current with research and best practices in the field of applied behavior analysis (ABA)
- Provide support and education to caregivers, educators, and providers regarding behavior management strategies
Qualifications:
- Must not be a present employee of the New York City Department of Education.
- Candidate should have strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Minimum of 3+ years prior experience
Skills:
- Excellent clinical diagnostic skills as it pertains to conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and Skill Assessments.
- Strong working knowledge of administering and interpreting various batteries such as, ABLLS-R, VB-MAPP, AFLS, etc.
- Adept at developing and implementing a Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP)
- Adept at training caregivers, educators, and providers in the effective implementation of a Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP).
Credentialing:
- Master's degree in Psychology, or Applied Behavior Analysis
- Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BCBA) Certification
- New York State Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA)
