Position Overview:
The purpose of the Billing and Collections Specialist is to assist with the submission of therapy claims accurately and timely as well as assist with back-end administrative duties.

Experience with both commercial & Medicaid payers

Accountability and Performance Measures:

Data entry and verification of daily charges
-
Detailed review of claims for daily submission to insurance companies

Understanding and Application of Insurance Benefit limitations/exclusions at point of billing

Responsible for keeping Fee schedules updated as well as regular review of insurance companies provider manuals to ensure accurate billing practices are utilized

Resubmission of Not Paid & Rejected claims

Review of claim information for accuracy

Written and verbal Communication with Insurance companies

Inter-office communication with both administrative and clinical staff

Other duties, as assigned
