Position Summary
Front Office Staff is to provide exceptional customer service by ensuring a positive patient experience for new and seasoned patients alike. This may include but is not limited to:
- Registering and/or updating patient registrations completely and accurately.
- Checking-in and checking-out patients.
- Making return appointments.
- Ensuring all check-in paperwork is completed and scanned into the EMR system in a timely manner.
- Verifying insurance eligibility and updating insurance.
- Collecting any copay or coinsurance due at time of service.
- Maintaining confidentiality of patient information
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent or higher education.
- Computer proficiency with Windows experience.
- Good decision-making, communication, and organizational skills.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must be able to multi-task and be flexible to accommodate the needs of their department due to the ever-changing healthcare field.
- Medical Billing and collections experience: 2 years (Preferred)
- Medical Receptionist: 2 years (Preferred)
- Customer service: 2 years (Preferred)
Schedule
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
