The Opportunity
The Senior Program Manager will be a critical member of our program teams and will interact extensively with both internal stakeholders and external business partners. This is a hybrid (remote and in-person) role and reports directly to the Head of Program Leadership.
Responsibilities

Partners with functional leads and manager to coordinate planning in support of program strategy.

Ensures cross-functional alignment and accountability.

Execute program management activities including:
- setting program team meeting agendas that prioritize program needs.
- facilitation of program team and sub-team meetings
- documenting meeting outputs including action items, decisions and minutes.
- communication of relevant information to maintain team alignment.

Responsible for creating execution strategies for the operational objectives, including timelines/milestones, and deliverables and tracking progress towards program deliverables and corporate goals

Work collaboratively with teams to create a sense of urgency; proactively identify potential future challenges for the program and look for solutions.

To thrive in this role, you will need to possess:
-
BS in Biological/Chemical Sciences, or relative science.
-
3-5 years’ experience with scientific operations and/or portfolio/program management experience in biotech/pharma industry.

5-10 years’ R&D experience in pharma/biotech industry.

Knowledge of early drug discovery process through IND.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Experience contracting with and managing CROs and consultants.

Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize and multi-task current program demands.

Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to develop and deliver clear and concise presentations for stakeholders and partners.

Ability to influence positively including in situations without direct authority.

Demonstration of cross-functional understanding related to drug development, ability to work independently and collaboratively, in a matrix team environment consisting of internal and external team members.

Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Other preferred nice-to-haves include:

Advanced degree (Ph.D. or MBA) desirable.

Small molecule drug development experience.

Experience in neurology, either in a scientific or PM capacity.

Experience with time management/tracking, using timeline management programs (MS Project, Excel, Smartsheet, ThinkCell).

Prior experience working at a small to mid-sized company with wide ranging related responsibilities.
