Compounding Pharmacy Technician
We are an independent pharmacy serving the community for half a century and we are looking for a Compounding Pharmacy Technician!
Our hours are Monday - Friday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm with a rotating shift of 5 hours (9:00 am – 2:00 pm) on Saturday, were are closed Sundays and major holidays.
We are seeking to hire a dependable, versatile compounding technician. Experience is highly preferred.

General Description
- Primarily responsible is compounding and filling, but also typing new prescriptions and processing refills when needed.
- Ability to fill in competently at all other non-pharmacist positions, as needed.
- Work with the PIC in making purchasing decisions and managing inventory.
- Ensure all claims are submitted properly. Review all negative profit prescription claims and collaborate with the Pharmacist on Duty to make decisions to resubmit claim, use another product, etc.
- Make sure all necessary information is included and documentation requirements are met on new prescriptions. Ensure CII prescriptions are signed and dated by the Pharmacist on Duty.
- Ability to resolve minor problems and recognize when to involve upper management.
- Ability to prioritize, organize and stay on-task.
- Responsible for compliance with work place policies and procedures.
- Assist with the opening and closing of retail location. Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe workplace for co-workers and customers.
- Identify and report health and safety risks, accidents, incidents and property damage.
- Set an exemplary example for others by providing extraordinary customer service, at all times.
- Communicate in a friendly, patient and professional manner. Present a professional image via proper hygiene and grooming, as well as adherence to company dress code.
- Must be flexible and responsive to perform these and other duties, as assigned.
Work Experience
- Experience as a compounding pharmacy technician is highly preferred.
- Must have knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements for filling prescriptions, as well as a working knowledge of inventory control.
- Must project a professional image and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Education Requirements
- Must possess a High School Diploma
- Must possess current Pharmacy Technician license with the Georgia State Board of Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) not required
Qualified candidate must submit to and successfully pass pre-employment screening which includes drug screen and background check.

- Rotating Saturday's - 5 hour shift - 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
