Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and efficient manner
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using a cash register or point-of-sale system
- Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the front of house area, including dining tables, counters, and restrooms
- Handle cash transactions, including processing payments, giving change, and issuing receipts
- Upsell additional food items or promotions to customers
- Assist with stocking and replenishing inventory as needed
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and allergen information to answer customer questions
Requirements:
- Previous experience in the food industry or culinary field is preferred
- Strong cash handling skills with the ability to accurately handle transactions
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Ability to handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with operating a cash register or point-of-sale system is a plus
- Basic math skills for retail calculations such as calculating change and upselling items
