Results Statement:
The Engineering Intern will support the project managers, staff engineers, laboratory manager, or
other staff as directed to assure client satisfaction following the applicable standards,
specifications and company guidelines
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to project managers and staff engineers by preparing report exhibits including but not limited to site vicinity map, plan of borings, geologic map, fault map and fence diagrams.
- Provide support to project managers and staff engineers by preparing boring logs using the software gINT as part of Geotechnical Engineering reports.
- Provide support to project managers and staff engineers by conducting engineering analysis for small size Geotechnical Engineering projects.
- Provide support to laboratory manager by conducting standard laboratory tests including but not limited to moisture content and Atterberg limits.
- Provide support to field personnel by conducting site visits to mark boring locations.
Key Criteria/Requirements
- Possess High School Diploma and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Availability to work at least 25 hours per week.
- Ability to lift concrete, soil, or asphalt samples as a routine part of the job.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs required
- Ability to tolerate year-round outdoor work.
- Valid Texas Drivers License with no history of accidents or alcohol/drug related traffic
