SCOPE OF ROLE: The will provide psychiatric and administrative services (approximately 15% of time to be spent on administrative/leadership responsibilities), within a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics. The ideal candidate for this position should have extensive experience dealing with adolescence and children.
ESSENTIAL ROLES AND DUTIES:
· Oversee all aspects of the clinic’s psychiatric care including evaluation, medication, crisis, etc. provided for children and adolescents
· Provide medication management, including medication assisted treatment, and psychotherapy directly and in consultation with clinic and primary care staff: prescribe, educate, adjust, and partner in full consumer engagement efforts regarding strategies, outcomes and consequences
· Provides supervision to psychiatric nurse practitioners and registered nurses at clinics
· Liaise with on-site primary care organization: develop protocols, provide consultation and facilitate integrated relationship
· Lead clinical quality improvement projects
· Identify and help to implement innovative clinic practices
· Create, implement, and assess treatment processes and procedures e.g., those based on diagnosis, individual needs and level of care
· Collaborate, consult with all staff, and sign off on treatment plans, particularly for complex cases
· With other leadership, assess, plan and implement staff development opportunities
· Develop community and referral partnerships and academic affiliations, participate in external workgroups and engage the public regarding both the clinic and the organization.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· M.D. Board Certified in Psychiatry Preferred but not required
· National Provider ID Number (NPI Number)
· Must have or be enrolled in New York State Medicaid
· 3-5 years managerial experience in a behavioral treatment setting
· Experience with underserved populations and direct service to people living with serious and persistent mental illness
· Possess a suboxone waiver.
