The HR Payroll Specialist will support both payroll and clerical HR duties. This position is focused on supporting our Human Resources department in their day-to-day operations. In addition, responsibilities will encompass placing job ads on careers pages, updating employee records, and assisting in payroll preparation. Responsibilities:
· Processes regular payroll information on a weekly basis, as well as bonuses and off-cycle checks when necessary.
· Performs weekly overtime audits.
· Keeps abreast of the payroll processing system and changes in wage/tax laws and applies changes as appropriate.
· Prepares follow-up for Stop Payment requests, manual check requests, and associated system updates.
· Prepare ad-hoc reports.
· Responds to questions regarding pay policies/procedures.
· Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
· Performs onboarding for all new hires through Paycor, partners with compliance on background/drug tests, and processes all E-Verify documentation.
· SME to build out all programs within Paycor system (Job tracking, recruiting, performance management, E-Verify, and 1:1 tracking). Support Paycor training for all levels of employees.
· Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
· Provides clerical support to the HR department.
· Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
· Other duties assigned as needed.
Requirements:
· A high school diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
· Experience with Paycor systems a plus.
· A minimum of 3 years' experience working in payroll or a similar role.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong organizational and time management skills
· Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
