Job Summary:
The successful candidate will have 5 years or more of relatively current verifiable experience as a commercial class 8 dispatcher. The successful candidate must be computer literate, have good written and spoken communication skills in English and be able to use PeopleNet/TMWtruck data entry software and be proficient with MS Office.
Essential duties include but are not limited to: receiving orders from customers and entering them into the system to then coordinate our driver delivery schedules based on the urgency and/or efficient logistics of our customer requirements while maintaining awareness of company costs and safety as well as properly assigning equipment, tracking equipment availability and calculating load limits and producing dispatch paperwork that reflects the TMW driver workflow for drivers to pick-up at start of shift.
The successful candidate will track driver progress and hours throughout the shift and adapt the dispatch schedule as needed in response to changing circumstances and assist drivers as needed to deliver in a safe and timely manner and ensure driver completes work as dispatched; and provide if necessary, emergency response support, follow safety guidelines and report incidents to the safety manager ASAP.
The successful candidate will coordinate with other dispatchers and management to respond to driver scheduling requests and call offs and resolve dispatch scheduling challenges to create the most cost effective and efficient solutions to customer needs.
The successful candidate will establish positive working relationships and provide courteous support by phone, in person or in writing to all our customers, drivers, dispatchers and other employees.

- Starting pay $18.00 an hour for training 5 days per week (duration of training is based on experience)
Starting hourly rate after training $20 an hour based on performance and previous experience
(Average full-time salary plus overtime $60-62K annually)

Required:
- This is a 4-day shift position Friday thru Monday including holidays, the successful candidate must be flexible with scheduling needs to cover shifts as needed. 10-12 hour shifts as required by business need
- Responsible for cell phone after hours on days of scheduled shift to provide occasional support and guidance to customers, management, drivers and other dispatchers
- Proper shift set-up and transfers to other dispatchers to meet customer expectations
- Organize and complete daily work-flow to completion in a timely, safe and cost effective manner
- Customer relations – with a focus on professionalism in all interactions (phone/email)
- Taking new orders - Maximize use of company assets, without jeopardizing previously scheduled customer requests
- Building drivers shifts in complex call and demand scenarios.
- Accurately keep daily logs, reports, and perform data entry to maintain safe operations
- Assist drivers as needed to deliver in a timely and safe manner
- Track driver hours and scheduling needs - Coordinate dispatch, ensure all drivers are in and out for their shifts.
- Emergency response support – follow safety guidelines and report incidents
- Properly assign equipment, track availability and calculate load limits
- Other duties as assigned

Pay: $62,400.00 - $65,000.00 per year
